Abby did pretty well tonight on the exam (hopefully we did it right since we taught ourselves). I didn’t correct her in that second one even though she makes noise. She did get a hold correction towards the end of the video. That was the only correction she got.
Her distractions were a ton of background noise and Gunny in front of her.
Knox and Gunny tried tonight too and she was all vinegar. She can do it and seems to understand but man she did not WANT to. Knox was in tears so We’ll try again in the morning.

ReplyDeleteOnward to Lesson 10 today. Knox, despite Gunny's 'vinegar attitude' win this battle of wills with her this morning. Gunny is what I would consider an Alpha dog, they have their own agenda and often their own agenda is not cohesive with your agenda. Dogs like this require an extra measure of the handler being PIC, Persistent, Insistent, Consistent, all the time. You are a better handler for learning KMODT with Gunny, but it takes patience, doesn't it? I look forward to your Lesson 9 EXAM Knox. No matter what, post the video for my review.
